Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Everything you need to know about live Q&A, Mistral AI moderation, and interactive audience voting.

How does question moderation work?

Every question submitted by a participant passes through an instant dual filter: a regular expression (Regex) check blocking suspicious links or offensive words, followed by real-time semantic analysis by Mistral AI. If the question is respectful and relevant, it is published to the live feed almost instantaneously. If flagged as inappropriate, it is filtered out without interrupting the presentation.

Who decides if questions are appropriate?

Initial filtering is automated by Mistral AI based on clear criteria of courtesy, relevance, and safety. The speaker retains direct control on stage: they can hide any question or mark it as answered at any time from their control dashboard.

Can Votimeter be used in a meeting room or conference hall?

Absolutely! Votimeter is specifically optimized for both internal team meetings (10-20 people) and large amphitheatres or conventions with hundreds of participants. The presenter projects the dedicated Big Screen view on a projector or video wall, featuring the giant QR code on the left and the highest-voted questions on the right, updated live without refreshing.

Are participant questions really 100% anonymous?

Yes, completely. No IP address, account identity, cookie, or personal data is linked to the questions stored in the database. This absolute anonymity empowers audiences to speak up freely, ask tough or insightful questions, and vote with zero fear of judgement or traceability.

Do participants need to create an account or install an app?

No, zero download or sign-up is required for attendees. Participants simply scan the QR code projected on the screen or type the 10-character code into votimeter.com on their smartphone or laptop. The interface opens instantaneously in their browser.

What AI technology powers Votimeter?

Votimeter runs on Mistral AI technology, the European pioneer in generative AI. Questions are analyzed and translated within European data centres, providing instant processing, high data privacy, and full European GDPR compliance.

How do voting and asking questions work?

Participants can ask questions directly from their smartphone and upvote (+1) or downvote (-1) questions submitted by the audience. To prevent spam, question submissions are limited to one question every 30 seconds per attendee, with a visual countdown timer on the submit button. The highest-voted questions automatically rise to the top of the feed in real time.

What is the difference between the Free Trial and the Pro Plan?

The 7-day Free Trial lets you discover all core features with up to 10 concurrent participants. The Pro Plan unlocks unlimited participants, unlimited meetings, priority Mistral AI moderation queues, and full data export capabilities (interactive HTML summaries and CSV spreadsheets).

How do I project questions on stage or onto a conference screen?

From your presenter dashboard, click on "Projector / Screen View". An optimized display opens with large typography for clear readability, refined contrast, and zero distractions. Press F11 on your keyboard to switch to full-screen mode.

Can I export and save meeting questions after the event?

Yes! Pro subscribers can download a standalone HTML recap report or a CSV spreadsheet directly from their dashboard. In addition, attendees can also download an HTML summary on their smartphones if enabled.
